Through many failed attempts, I found myself headed for a celebratory lunch for my roommate' s birthday. This is where I confess that my inability to plan things really hindered the surprise spa day I'd originally planned to have for her.
Instead, my wonderfully responsible Italian friends found and booked a beautiful restaurant looking over the Adriatic Sea. La Torre is a stunning seafood restaurant looking over the water. As I walked in, my heart beat with a thrill. This place made me feel so fancy. There is floor to ceiling windows and glass everywhere. it's simply beautiful.
The actual lunch lasted about 4 hours. There was wine, wine, and more wine! I don't usually drink that much, so I was a bit tipsy throughout the meal. I am a notoriously picky eater and I found myself simmering in a drunken panic as I stared at the Italian menu. I still react as if the concept of an Italian written menu, IN Italy is the strangest thing. Never the less my chums were there to translate, and an exchanged plate later... I was eating one of the best ravioli I've ever had!
This was my second time in Numana, and once again, I couldn't get over the fact that it's the most romantic little town that I've ever seen. The streets are cobbled, there is a panoramic view, and there are these beautiful street lamps lining the streets that cast a beautiful light. I love this beautiful town, and if you're ever in the region, it's a great place to visit.
To my wonderful Roomie ... Happy Birthday
